The climate strike was fine, though one of the more enthusiastic protestors was a politician encouraging people to do nothing and hope for the best.

One of the more memorable signs said, Ecocide is Genocide. Another went, Save our home! and others others went with the traditional There Is No Planet B.

I heard no anarchist voices, though one person was relatively radical in their statements by advocating for a great decrease in consumption.

If scientific research shows that" more often, take idiotic risks", it should also be recognized that more often, receive congratulations on their success as a result of taking these risks.

People have decided that the "higher good" means something else, and it does not include their own one-off. When cost / benefit analysis shows there is no benefit, it doesn't take a genius to remove yourself from the equation. In such a climate, an intelligent person cannot effectively show his worth by giving more or working harder. He shows his worth by withdrawing completely. It requires no effort to make the same impact.

I wish I could've gone to one :( I don't have a job to strike right now and the nearest protest was hours from me and looks like it was trash anyway

where modern man preserves and protects his own sovereignty first of all. It is the manifestation of one word:"no." Banishing silly prejudices and cultural definitions of what a person is. Not looking at anyone else for social cues. Refusing to bow, serve, and kneel for the opportunity to be treated like a disposable utility. And to live up to his own interests in a world that would rather he didn't.

Why are there so many fucking climate change deniers? Have a look on literally any YouTube video or Facebook comment section: there they are. Smug little self-proclaimed "sceptics". They will be our fucking undoing.

The biggest contributors towards climate change conveniently have control over the means of production, allies that produce propaganda, and are the biggest source of economic growth. They "donate" money to both politicians and sources of propaganda in order to ensure that they can continue to make profit unimpeded; with the government supporting or ignoring the environmental effects that this causes and the propaganda to keep at least some of the population docile and eager to consume. They do this because, well, capitalism's bottom line is profit; it's so much easier to frack and deforest when the government doesn't regulate you and you make more money when you have a steady stream of loyal consumers. Any climate "skeptic" with an audience is just free advertisement. The number of climate deniers that will consume to "own the libs" isn't insignificant.

abusive people always deny they're abusive people because their egos need to maintain a sacrosanct image of themselves. North Americans are the biggest climate abusers.

I'm gonna go support the kids at the climate protest today but if I hear a single one of them say "boomer" as a pejorative I'm going to crush their skulls with a telescopic baton.

I'm wondering at what stage it is that calling someone boomer pejoratively is ageist. It quite possibly already is.
