So a few of us earlier probably saw the troll shilling for Liberstad, and presenting it as an ancom commune. So I did a little research:

Not only that, but you have to pay for your plot in CITY, which is their cryptocurrency.

So the Liberstad nonprofit... collects your wealth, then issues its own currency which is the only form of currency it will accept as payment for debt from then on, then distributes land to people according to how much of its new currency they have? They literally copied what a state does.

You don't even own the land you 'buy'.

MFW WHEN ALL THEY DID WAS CREATE A STATE TO SCAM RICH ANCAPS.

I'm sort of envious of this idea. I wanna con rich 'radical' people.

Liberstad is a project which aims to establish Norway's first private city. In a private city all property is private and all services are performed by private actors. Liberstad will be a city built on the philosophy that all human interactions should be voluntary.

Completely free from government authorities who puts obstacles for both urban and industrial development. Liberstad will become a city where anarchism can get a physical foothold in one of the worlds most socialist countries.

Liberstad will become a city where life is easier, more relaxing and without high cost of living. In the long term we can together develop a private city where people have greater freedom and opportunity to live the life they desire.

The company is the city-operator and will provide and facilitate public service.

I have nothing to say about this that you are not already thinking yourself.
