I'm sorry your social community is unsharing of your values, and that most things you are doing feel fruitless or meaningless. You aren't alone, of course. You deserve to feel appreciated for what you do, and to have a sense of a positive future for yourself and the people you care about. It's so difficult to do so, if one is at all aware of the historical processes we are stuck in the middle of. But you still deserve those things, regardless-- we all do.

What is the subject which you enjoy? If i may ask.

If you really don't like that university, programming is probably the easiest subject to learn online. If you're good about challenging and setting goals for yourself, you can get a university-level education in programming just by reading free online programming books, or watching free programming videos.

As far as not having a degree goes, if you apply to smaller companies, you can tell them you have a bachelor's in computer science, and if you show that you're competent enough in the interview, they may not bother to check to see if you really have a degree. Just be sure to say you graduated from a university somewhere far away, to minimize the chances that one of your coworkers also went to the university you claim to have graduated from, and they start asking you questions about it.

I can see why that would interest you. I'm thinking about diving headfirst into that world too. You know as well as anyone that these logical steps can be purposed for things other than surveillance and oppression-- and in fact, they already are, although the forces arrayed against such endeavor are powerful and overwhelming.

The skills you are learning will serve liberatory tasks, communities, and movements well, if you remain open to the opportunities that may present themselves to you.

In all honesty, this is why I tend towards Absurdism as a viewpoint. Either you accept that the universe makes no inherent sense, or you get overwhelmed trying to deal with it. Which isn't to say that we shouldn't try to make things better, but yeah.
