Yeah, you can't delete your messages because there's not a centralized server hosting all the data, the server just delivers the content ad hoc to all the clients. This is actually a plus in the opsec department, with ip cloaking & a private server it makes it difficult to attack the IRC channel's data once it is already delivered. And like nbdy said, nothing really stops someone from logging the data of a server that they are logged into/able to access, and the same applies to IRC, or even Raddle itself.

sorry, i was more combative than necessary. I think IRC is the way I would know how to do it best, Matrix protocol is unknown to me beyond the end-user level
