A lot of these comments are surprisingly not as bad as every other comments section of practically everywhere else on the internet.

Yeah, I'm impressed. Barely any whining about nazi's frozen peaches.

I wish there was more discussion about the security aspect of Raddit. I don't really have the knowlege to spark a discussion about this but as far as I understand it an important thing that distinguishes this site from regular old reddit is its security - yet nobody really talks about it in the hackernews thread, instead they discuss if anarchism is a good idea...

I wish I knew php, because I would love to contribute, but my skills in that area are not up to snuff. I am not complaining, because I think php is actually quite well suited for the task of building a dynamic content website. I appreciate the work you do though and I plan on trying to get acquainted with it so that maybe at some point in the indeterminate future I can contribute code and not just ideas.

I recognize that you have done a ton of work here though as I have perused the code on git. I am honestly really impressed that this has been done by just one person.

Could you recommend some material somewhere on learning php and composer so I will have an idea what I am doing? I haven't written any kind of website in years, so I need a total overview of how things are done at this point.

Anyway, I wish I could give a more meaningful critique, but so far I am very impressed! Good work!

Thank you very much for the resources! I have coded in php before, it has been a long time though, so I could definitely use a good refresher. Hopefully this info is helpful to others looking to chip in too. Would be cool if we could get a solid group of reliable devs.

Yea, there's really nothing like this site that's free and open source, I'm surprised more people don't care about that. And there's certainly nothing like this coded by just one person - it's already surpassed reddit in usability imo.

Wow, the other hackernews entry someone linked to wasn't nearly as big as this one.
