Are there any other therians/otherkin who use this site?
Not me! I don't know much about this. I'm not sure any exist where I live in the sense that is generally used where you live.

Congratulations :)

Mentioned my plan to live in a hobbit hole in the woods to this girl I like and it turns out that's her plan too, so that's cool.
Edit: used "to" instead of "too'. I'll go sit in the shame corner...

What do you mean by a hobbit hole, by the way?

Some sort of earth sheltered cabin type deal, kind of along the lines of Mike Oehler's designs

Question: anyone know any form of home brew decaf coffee that doesn't suck?
I brew a large mug or two of coffee per day and I think I need to cut back - I've been fine for years (decades) with this but recently I started having problems sleeping and have been getting random mild anxiety attacks. (I don't want to call it a panic attack, that would be an enormous overstatement.)
I know the best option is to quit entirely, but coffee has been part of my morning ritual for almost twenty years. I may have no choice, but again I'm hoping I can switch to non-suck decaf.

I appreciate that idea, but tea actually makes it almost impossible for me to sleep. It has caffeine plus the stimulants theobromine and theophylline, and I guess I'm extra sensitive to those because they hit me a lot harder than plain coffee.

Gonna second Freux on this. It's still a caffeine fix, but it's less intense than coffee. If you want to skip caffeine entirely, I buy a canister of baking cocoa and use that to cut or replace coffee sometimes. It's the exact same as getting it from a packet, you just have to sweeten it yourself and when it's bitter it does a fine job of waking you up.

I'll give the baking cocoa a try, thanks. As I responded to Freux, tea hits me really hard, much harder than coffee.

I'm OK with Starbucks capsules. I bought a Moka pot. The result is less gritty than saucepan and sieve.

Grindr's a magical place. Some loser hit up L months back, first there and then on tungle dot hell and got rejected by her, since she's a lesbian. He threw a huge bitchfit about how she wasn't giving him a chance and he was such a nice guy. Months later, he hits me up on grindr, gets rejected because cis people are icky, same routine. I post a pic of L, F and I chilling at the pool flipping him off. I get a huge screed about how I'm being unfair and cruel and he just "admires" trans women because our lives are so hard and wants us to tell him how to live his life. Then he bugs R on grindr, the only one not in the pic since she took it in the first place, gets shot down because R prefers to be exclusive, much more gently than by the rest of us. She sends him the picture, and he throws the biggest fit of all, a huge screed about how we're evil for spreading 'rumors' (what do you expect when you ring up 3 people who live together) and how he hung out with us individually (untrue) and we liked him then (also untrue) but now we all hate him and nobody wants to see him, probably because he does this shit to everyone. It ends in seven (7) voice recordings in which he literally starts fucking crying. I know men are weak but hot damn.

Fixing to join the SCA and start bopping nerds with sticks as something to do with my partners. Still not sure if I want to do a viking, an icenus (is it still iceni in the singular?) or just a medieval squire. Maybe I should just get myself a pitchfork and be a levied peasant.
Dark Eye's going well! We went to go see a witch because the temple was too poorly funded to help us break a curse and my squire and the guild mage have been bitching about it the whole walk there. Then we got there and squire was dumbstruck because the witch was a pretty older woman with a wife and not a creepy old hag like she expected. A crowned stag showed up and she tried to pet it but the bard wouldn't let her because in her country stags are considered fearsome dangerous beasts. Now she's sulking while our own witch is trying to cheer her up by getitng a squirrel to play with her. The steppe tribe woman tried to knock on the door and loudly shouted her thanks...right after the witch told us politely but firmly not to bother her until morning. The witch's wife's familiar jinxed her and now she's mute for the rest of the night.

I wanna convince L to do LARPing with me but she thinks it's dorky. That's exactly why it'd be fun, imo.

I have a lot of fun when I DM because I love describing things and playing characters, but I never have the motivation to really flesh out a setting or a scripted plotline. Does it feel more natural in LARP? I always freeze up at the table unless it's the Dark Eye game since I'm intimate with the other players.

I've noticed you used the ableist word "dumb" in your comment, please refrain from doing so.
Consider instead: dense, ignorant, lacks understanding, impulsive, risk-taker, uninformed, silly, foolish (to replace metaphor); nonspeaking, nonverbal, person with a speech impairment, person with a cognitive disability, Deaf person, hard of hearing person (to refer to a Deaf or disabled person)
Discussion about the words here, stop this message from being posted by quoting the word: "dumb"

It was a chill week for a change, we did a baby shower that, while fun, made be wish I took more control of the planning. I was hoping to get some simple but necessary things like diapers or milk bottles, yet we mostly clothes which we already got gifted a ton.
My wife's church's pastor told her that the church will get her what we're missing, on the condition that she ( including me 🙄) goes to mass before the twins are born.
I hate my young self for being so upfront about atheism, people around just keep dwelling on it when I no longer give a fuck and make an effort to see things from different perspectives ( including religious ones). But any time I request people to forget about it, it's the same "he's coming back to the flock!". Can't they just let me be? Specially, even if i do end up believing in higher power, I'm not going to be part of a church that has so backwards views of people I care for and admire.

Capitalists can't just give to those in need, they have to get something in return.

I posted this question in a friday free talk about 6 months ago, so I figure I may as well try again. Are there any other therians/otherkin who use this site?
Also, unrelated to that, I'm celebrating 2 years on HRT this week, and my partner's celebrating 1 year!! I'm so proud of both of us.
