I've been trying, it's not easy. Most of the people I know who are good at this stuff still have intense histories of dealing with police etc in previous evictions so it's hard for them to engage.
Gotta meet people where they're at and build from there, I think.

I've also created a sense of enjoyment for corporate decisions that I know will lead to bureaucracy and reduced efficiency. I love it when nobody does anything except go to meetings about why nothing gets done.

So what are you doing instead?

lol you made an account on raddle a day ago to say you're done with politics? You can't really avoid politics around here.

Christiania is corrupt as fuck... reactionary place, really.
ziq wrote
Was it always like that or just recently since it turned into an open-air weed market?
NOISEBOB wrote
It's partially because of the drug market ruled by gangs, but also the way they deal with people wanting to move in there (it is basically not possible unless you know the right people - consequence of that is that the average age of people living there is higher than outside)... it's just a place for tourists and people who like to smoke weed.
NOISEBOB wrote
come to think of it, i may be wrong on the average age being higher than outside (as Christinia doesn't have nursing homes for the elderly), but they definitely have a strange lack of non-native young people living there.

Anyone ever get put in a position of having to defend someone you can't stand and believe to be a complete asshole because the alternative is the exact shit you've been talking about to a space? I had to go to bat for one of the most toxic and vicious sisters I've ever met because she pissed off the wrong t-bro and he threw a tantrum even though she had already been kicked out until we basically burned her in effigy. Like, I don't even like this woman, but fucking count on trans men to reinforce transmisogyny and then cower behind "b-b-but I'm not cis tho".
My doctors' office fucked me out of my meds over a blood test I can't get because I'm not in that state anymore and don't need because I'm not on spiro anymore, L is sharing hers until I get an appointment with Planned Parenthood or something. Feels like my tits are finally evening out at least. I feel like I've been stuck in puberty for like, eight years now and that's probably because I am.
Feeling increasingly paranoid about living in a metro, wish we could move already and squat some land or something, or at least ditch this country and put it behind us for good. Doubt it'd be much better anywhere else but at least if we went to Eireann or something we'd just have to deal with the regular degular homophobia and misogyny instead of having it constantly enshrined into law in an open attempt to starve us out. Plus there'd be castles and I'd be able to like, actually go outside in the summer.

Basically, avoiding people and civilization, enjoying nature, and enjoying freedom.

Good luck with the schooling! That all seems like a lot to figure out.
Never heard of switchel. It tastes good?

there is a conspiracy theory that the state of denmark let the hippies squat the place, so they wouldn't revolt like the students and hippies of france did in '68... (they squatted it in '71)
i'm tempted to believe it...

I'm glad you are reaching some bodily transition goals :) I imagine that feels pretty nice
I'm sorry your doctor and the man you argued with have been causing you stress. That's a really unfair situation on both counts. I hope you find a way to get the blood test you need, and that this guy apologizes for his words/behavior.
I'm with you, I'm about at the point where I just wish I could leave and go squat somewhere. My problem is that I have no one to run away with...a damn shame, if you ask me.

I imagine it is, I was just reaching for a second example off the top of my head. Most of what I have read about it was more historical regarding its beginnings and within its first 10 years. Sucks to hear though.

If by that you mean an anarchist neighbourhood in every city, that would be wonderful. Whole towns or even valleys, though, in the case of a dispersed rural community, could be even better, too, though they might attract more attention from the state, so they would need to be much more revolutionary than they might be otherwise, considering the pressure.

I checked out the rest of that comic... its perhaps the most armchair thing I've ever seen. I thought armchair leftcoms was just a joke.

Can we all just start an exarcheia/christania in our respective cities? They can serve as not only revolutionary epicenters but also mutual aid hubs for those outside the direct community. And confederate them for worldwide coordinated actions. Or not...
