It's a bit disingenuous to measure by quantity not mass though, as far as I'm aware most humans bacterial mass is somewhere in the range of 3-5 pounds I could be off by a bit of course. Even still assuming the high end of that on a 200 pound person that's less than 3% by mass. The way they are saying this would be like if I had 12 pounds of sand and then one 500 pound block of salt and then said that what was there was more than 50% sand.
