I went to an ENT today after years of my boss complaining that my loud nose blowing was clearly a sign of a need for sinus surgery. I have finally learned that sinus congestion != mucus and the loudness was me trying to get something out when there was nothing there. But I went to the ENT to get her off my back. I got a nasal endoscopy. It was invasive and horrible. Your body knows when shit is in it that doesn't belong there. I am feeling very very traumatized. I'm also still in pain. The end result is that I have narrow breathing passages. Apparently, narrow breathing passages means that the endoscopy feels worse for me than other people. Couple that with my low pain threshold. Every time the ibuprofen wears off, I can feel the pain in my sinuses and my teeth. And it freaks me out. So I cry and freak out and cry. This sucks.
sounds awful, i’m sorry
Thanks, alex. I'm sure as shit not doing surgery after a simple endoscopy hurt me this much. haha
yeah and they’d put you under for surgery too, which if you’re like me can give you bad reactions. i’ve been to ENTs on and off my whole life with mixed results so i know what it’s like. hope your boss eases up
I've heard a lot of times sinus surgery or septum surgery wind up needing to be repeated.
I got surgery for a severely deviated septum and even though it's a lot better, the nostril has gradually become blocked again after 10 years. I also get nosebleeds all the time for some reason lately, idk what's up with that.
