Hey!

I'm Enkara, aka /u/-Enkara- on Reddit.

I'm a trans anarchist in the south-east US.

My dream world is an anarcho-communist utopia with no market, a mix of planned and gift economies, where I can live in a queer subterranean hacker commune in the Appalachian mountains somewhere and do permaculture shit and have goats and bees and grow various psychedelic plants/fungus.

For ideology I'm past the point socialism but kind of in an anarchist/communist limbo. Both are appealing to me and I just want capitalism to be overthrown so the future can continue its course towards paradise.

Hi everyone. I'm Q, a 26 year old guy from Tunis, Tunisia living near Frankfurt, Germany. I was in an anarchist movement in Tunis (that got dissolved), later on joined Left Block while I lived in Saint Petersburg, Russia, and now I'm a member of the FAU, an anarcho syndicalist workers union.

Ostrich wrote

Hello folks! I'm Ostrich. I am also Cynical_Ostrich on Reddit.

I'm just your run-at-the-mill anarchist. For anyone that paid attention to me on Reddit, I've hopped around ideologically for quite a while before deciding that anarchism was right for me.

My journey started as a Wehraboo socdem, then ortho Marxist, then Leninist, trot, leftcom (luxemburgist thingy), communalist, anarchist, demsoc, communalist, and finally anarchist.

I'm overall pretty chill and I like to meme and occasionally masochistically debate.

writinglucy wrote

That's very interesting. I'd be very interested in hearing more about you flopped around ideologically. My transition was much more straightforward. When I was younger (10 - 14) I was fairly conservative, read Tom Clancy books, thought America was great and communism was bad, and generally had a pre-pubescent undeveloped brain incapable of critical thinking. However, through high school I became an edgy atheist and baby social democrat. Through my experiences in colleges and up until now I went from being a baby socdem to a big boy anarchist. To be fair I've been a socialist for a while but I didn't think I'd done enough reading to know if I would call myself an anarchist comfortably. After reading the Bread Book though I'm decided. Anyways, tell me more about your journey!

Definitely late to the thread, but I'm Jaleel (pseudonym for anonymity) and have the same username on reddit. Still fairly new to anarchism, but I have been very involved in the local punk scene for years, I most closely identify with anarcho - syndicalism/communism. In a nutshell I love people and hate violence. I love to read anything, and have been on a binge of anarchist and socialist literature recently, always appreciate recommendations. You Conrads are alright, glad to be a part of this forum!!!!

Have you read the Bread Book? I assume so but if not you have to check it out! I finished it a week or so ago and it's definitely one of my favorites.

Hi. I'm Elon_Satoshi. I used to love the idea of Bitcoin, Elon Musk, and a software-organized state. Since browsing this site, I'm considering the possibility that people can develop technology and live happily with the software and other communications tech that we already have. I'm concerned that Elon Musk will essentially own Mars. And I still like Bitcoin (I have some!), but I think we might be able to live without it someday. Maybe.

I have four dogs, and I'm a senior at a hackerphobic school that loves Chromebooks and surveilance.

I think Stallman is mostly right, and my computers run on Parabola Gnu/Linux-libre.

Hi! I'm kind of new on this site. I had an account on an older version of it, but I mostly checked it out logged off. The improvements are incredible, and I want to contribute more to the community here!

I make artwork and I'm willing to collab. I'll eventually post more work, but for now, all I have posted is this submission.

I like to consider myself a green-anarchist, because I think the technology produced from the globalizing regime is always being advanced for solidifying the class system. Our communication is facilitated by the corporations that seek to enslave us, and we must tear it from our hearts by readily creating something new without letting it frame our existance. To me this means to do away with contributing to this techno-civilization as far as you can reach always as much as possible.

Thank you to everyone who has made this community a reality! I often see good content with reasonable discussions, what an oasis.

Hello! Apparently I'm writinglucy. That's also my handle on reddit. I'm currently on the road living out of my car. Lately I've been giving some serious thought to ditching my car and hitchhiking/train hopping after the New Year. We'll see. In any case I'm an idealistic young person living all over the US. As for politics I think labels are silly but I'm increasingly comfortable thinking of myself as an anarcho-communist. Honestly I haven't done nearly enough reading so I'm very uneducated when it comes to politics. I've listened to a shit ton of Chomsky lectures, read many of his articles, and read some of the staples of Leftist thought: State And Revolution, The Mass Strike, The Communist Manifesto, The Conquest of Bread. I'm working my way through Mutual Aid right now. After that I think I'll read Reform or Revolution. I've been itching to read some Max Stirner because he sounds very interesting but one thing at a time. I'm way behind on my political education. I'm always open to suggestions as well!

Anyways this has turned into a very long introduction but since I've been on the road I have nothing else to do but write long posts and journal a lot. That's all for now!

Hola. Me llamo "El Cholo Loco". I actually don't speak Spanish all that well, but I can muddle through it. I picked the handle because it's fun to say. Rolls off the tongue real nice.

I'm a rabid Northern partisan and adopted Woodchuck. I think New England and the parts of New York that aren't Downstate, NYC, and Long Island should secede from the enemy country, form our own independent nation, and organize that nation on an iterative, direct-democratic basis centered around communities of 150 people or fewer. There is substantial precedent for this in New England's proud tradition of "town meetings", which actually predates the first time we declared independence from an imperial occupier.

I am a geek, a carpenter, an aspiring engineer, a philosopher, and a heretical minister. My business cards give my occupation as "Wizard".

Finally, I believe that free folk everywhere should--being constrained only by purely tactical considerations--rise in the defense of our lands, our people, and our planet, by any means necessary.

I'm Comrade_Pingu, or just Ian. I like science, computers, and seizing the means of production for the workers. I can't really say much about my ideology, I'm just a Marxist. Since yeah, Luxemburgism is cool, but ML is okayish too. I think that Marxism/Socialism in general looks different everywhere based on material conditions and needs, and we shouldn't have a catch all process of even achieving socialism (besides revolution, of course). What we need though, is the same end goal: FULL COMMUNISM.

I'm a cissie and all that, but I try my best to be as supportive and considerate of my NB and trans comrades undergoing some of the worst persecution the world has to offer.

(oh yeah and i play drums and i like physics that stuff is pretty cool too)

Hello, you know my handle here. IRL I've been referred to as Bad Jesus, or by my trans-masculine kiddo as "Dade."

I am a straight white cis male IT professional. Unfortunately that means I'm surrounded by reactionaries and can easily get lumped in with brocialists. I try to temper my perception of the world with the fact that others have it a lot harder, accepting that I am not going to be able to relate to the perspectives and struggles of less privileged folks. My family is also poor, and I've been homeless a couple times, which has helped radicalize me.

Politically I am FULL POSADIST tankarchist libertarian socialist and find inspiration across multiple leftist tendencies. Unfortunately work precludes me from getting a lot of reading in, so I'm not as well-read in some areas and am still fumbling my way through. At the end of the day, I want to see capitalism - wealth, private property, imperialism, slavery, poverty, discrimination - gone, and I will support all comrades across the left.

A bit late to the party, but I thought I'd introduce myself anyway. I'm sunshine, (different reddit username) and I'm an anarchist. I've had one adjective or another added on the end of that over the past decade or so, but these days it just seems overly complicated and divisive so I just stick with anarchist.

I like providing counterpoints for the sake of a dialogue of different perspectives and conversations that don't devolve into lefter-than-thou measuring contests.

I have social anxiety so all of my comments are way too long so I can explain what I'm trying to say to death, and tend to participate when I'm drunk as a result. I'm an activist, anthropologist, amateur musician, and a part of the libertarian socialist caucus in the DSA to swing some of our socialist comrades a bit more left ;)
