I'm going to finish reading The Word For World Is Forest today; you have a quality username.

It's a good book! I really like some of the shorter Le Guin reads.

Second time this week someone has said something like that to me. Fortunately there is a lot of Le Guin literature where I live so I'll jump on the short stories when I get a chance.

Those are good too but I was referring to the novels like Word for World is Forest and Lathe of Heaven. They are pretty quick reads for sci-fi/fantasy novels.

I see. I'm not sure if the latter is on a shelf in my house; I'll have to take a look. Thanks for the recommendation!

I think it would be nice if the cards have a bit more white padding, especially around the thumbnails. It feels a bit too crammed..

i like the pastelly shade of red but it clashes a bit with the deeper red of the subscribe button

Oh, I forgot to theme the buttons. Not a major disaster.

somebody (i do not remember who) has already accused me of being a troll even before all this ziq drama happened so i won't be surprised if there are people who genuinely think i'm them lol

Hmm yeah you're right, it does a bit. Not sure what a good solution to that would be.

You already have one, your anti-meme phrase

is my hatred of memes, itself, a meme???

... brb i have to rethink my life

That's the glorious reality of memery. There is no escape. Just metamemes upon memes, which themselves become memes, and the self-perpetuating cycle continues.

Looking forward to seeing how the f/readingclub works out over this platform. I think that generally the reading from this week would best be done by people in the same space, because it will make us feel like we need to go and throw some wrenches in some gears.
