No worries! Any progress on stickying posts or setting up an RSS posting thing?
I was thinking that ideally an RSS would load posts and be able to remove stuff. For example all It'sGoingDown stuff tacks on "- It's Going Down" to the end of every post title which I manually remove each time. And Enough Is Enough always puts hashtags all over their article titles also that it'd be nice to automatically have removed.
I never did reddit. How does free talk work :)

I'm on new anxiety medication, and it's giving me insomnia. Feeling pretty good though otherwise though.

I don't remember! I have looked at reddit before but never made an account.
I think someone checked and saw an RSS for IGD before, I'll have a look also!
Edit: couldn't find it, have emailed them to check.

I've been trying to read Foucault's The Order of Things: An Archaeology of the Human Sciences for like a week now
The first chapter is an exhaustive analysis of one painting and it's dreary and impossible to concentrate throughout
I'm thinking I'm just going to skip the chapter and stop putting myself to sleep

That sneaky pete show sounds pretty interesting based on what I just read. Never heard of it.
Cranston overall is great. How prominently does he star in it?
An_Old_Big_Tree wrote
Great! Thanks. I couldn't find it anywhere.

He's the villain in season 1 and I found him distracting.

Too bad, I dont think he fits the role of a straight up villain. He works better in more morally ambiguous roles like he did in Breaking Bad.

I've only read his short piece on parrhesia some time ago
Am hoping this one gets better!

Standard procedure is to request it in meta and then the user gets added as moderator by an admin unless/until the community objects.
Mods cad demod themselves but I don't think that they can add mods - not sure.
Assuming you wanted to add u/ThreadBot to f/TestGround I've done that now.

So how has everyones week been!

And keep in mind starting a forum makes you mod automatically, in case somehow that's slipped your mind.
if you have the bot start f/itsgoingdown and then set it up that all the IGD stuff gets auto-posted there, that seems ideal?
exciting.

Yeah it's kinda weird now that I think about it. I'll add it to the feature w/wishlist.
An_Old_Big_Tree wrote
I like that approach since it'll encourage people to subscribe to things they want to see and have the option not to have every IGD or whatever article in their feed.
If you have another way you prefer though then go for it! It's just the only one I've thought of.
Especially if you end up writing some kind of script that allows anybody to do this with an RSS feed, it seems wortwhile that each gets its own forum so people can be picky about what they see.
It's interesting.

I started on DS9, but still haven't been able to get through it (not because it's bad, but my own attention problems, and the fact that I'm watching it on my PC in a netflix browser, where vidya gaems and tvTropes are a tab away.
I myself am deep in season 3 of TNG.

Work was bullshit (when isn't it?), but going to see Godspeed You! Black Emperor tonight made up for it.

Deep Space 9 has an awful first season (but so does TNG). Here's a really good skip list if you want to expedite things:

I got through the first quarter of DIscipline and Punish but I barely retained any of it and I would lose my bookmark and end up rereading sections without even realizing it

as far as amazon programming, Sneaky Pete is generally pretty entertaining. Patriot is also good.
