Lightweight, no-JS, no-account file & image host jadedmeta.xyz

Submitted by jadedctrl in lobby (edited )

I've gotten this together over the past hour or so. I mean, I have about 200GB of extra space on my server, and I wanna put it to good use. I saw people talking on a thread about a simple image-host for raddle, and I wanted to help out a tad.
It might not be much to look at, but it's a pretty alright file/image-host.
At the very least, it doesn't require an account and doesn't have bloated JS like Imgur!
I collect no data except for time-stamps.
Right now, the size-limit is 1MB, but I think I'll up it to 50MB or so.
This is for semi-permanent hosting. I'll probably add an option for 24-hour file uploads pretty soon.
I hope it's useful!

Also, could you post the source code somewhere?

Click - nice.

We should probably stop now, before we fill up all 200GB of Jadedctrl's spare storage on her server with Michael Rosen memes.

Good idea. It's probably best to do it on a dedicated archive website, like archive.org. We'd just have to make sure they actually capture all the video data in their snapshot.

Well, it's evidently a simple piece of software, and if you're using Tor Browser correctly, there's really no way for anyone to de-anonymize you through something like this. The point of making this is to create simple and anonymous image hosting - that isn't invalidated by not publishing the source code. But it would be nice to publish the source code, so that other people can set up their own versions if they so desire, and modify it to suit their needs.

I put up sources for basically everything I work on (just look at my NAB, littered with one-off useless code)-- I just wanted to wait a few hours and make this less shit before doing so, but you mates called me out on it already, jajaja!
You mates win, here you go.

Would be cool to link this somewhere prominently and designate it raddle's official image host or something. Imgur is so bad now that they force you to install their app on mobile to upload anything.

Yea, I'm planning on it. No accounts, though-- it'll just be cookies listing the URLs that you've uploaded which will be used to generate a "my uploads" page.
I'm also planning on a "general index," where-- if you've voluntarily said "I want my file to be indexed--" your file will be listed publically. Totally voluntary, though, and no-indexing'll be the default.
