My grandma died last night. Trying to cope with her passing while working around a chud, thankfully it's my last day at this job

sorry to hear, especially that working around a chud part. My grandpa passed ten years ago, I don't even have that many memories but it still hurts some days.

i just ate one of the peaches from the tree in front of my house and now my face is tingly and itchy af. idk what I'm going to do if I'm allergic to stone fruit now bc fruit is the only sweet food i eat since i stopped eating sugar. 😩

edit to add: i took a bunch of benadryl but if i don't post again... well my immune system will have finally killed me.

I could be wrong but I think peaches are more of an allergen than stone fruit as a whole so you might be able to get away with other fruits. Also melons and berries are delicious too! (Did you know bananas are a berry?)

i mean that would still suck but if it's only peaches would be better.

im also allergic to mango, just the peel though bc of my latex allergy.

I didn’t know there was latex in mango skins!

Ya pleaches are delicious. I’m lucky I don’t have any allergies. Canned peaches are probably still gonna be bad too, huh?

apparently it can develop for people with allergies to birch pollen. there's a similar protein that the immune system confuses for the pollen in the meat of the fruit. I'm allergic to nature in general so i would have to avoid it entirely. :(

Glad you are still kicking. It would suck to have a peach tree and be allergic to peaches.

the three jokes of meat eaters:

2: “just some tofu.”

1: “tofu huh? that’s weird. gross. why tofu though? why would you eat tofu?”

2: “because i…like tofu?”

1: “yeah but why? why wouldn’t you eat chicken or bacon or something instead?”

2: “oh, i don’t eat m—“

1: “HOW DO YOU KNOW SOMEONE’S VEGAN? THEY’LL TELL YOU LOL.”

2: “right, yeah. and let me guess, you cooked—“

2: “yep, there it is.

1: “nah i’m just kidding i’m just kidding. i’m just messin around. i actually eat vegan.”

Tooth is acting up. Makes it hard to get sleep.

Second job might not be enough hours to make a difference which is frustrating. Waiting on that first check to happen beause I am so behind on stuff.

Been dealing with a cold for about two weeks now. Its mostly just made me tired. I can't seem to knock it completely.

If it's infected or getting infected you can buy amoxicillin online as fish antibiotics without a script....it's the same thing

Fortunately no infection but that is useful information.

The worst part is I almost have the guts to pull it myself. But I can never quite bring myself to do it.

Started my new job. Was unemployed for so long I’m not used to being on my feet for so long, but I guess it’s also cuz we don’t really get breaks in the restaurant industry (read Abolish Restaurants.) Ill surely acclimate to it soon tho, or maybe I’m just getting old. Ugh, I hope it’s not that.

Found out today that he called my coworker incompetent yesterday and made her cry, so that’s a huge red flag. So far I’m enjoying it tho.

Started a prescription for atomoxetine for my adhd today. It takes a while to start working but I’m excited to see how it goes. I like that it’s not a stimulant, but I hope it doesn’t make my anxiety worse from increasing my norepinephrine concentrations (it’s a norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor, so it increases the norepinephrine concentrations in the brain).

I have a job lined up too I don't want to do it. I'd be filling up excel sheets from 9 to 5. I'm already dying of boredom and it hasn't even started yet haha fml

My birthday is tomorrow. I worked lots of overtime last month to (among other things) get myself a new pair of nice (or cheap) shoes since my only pair is damaged beyond repair. However, that money is now poof and I'm not without money for any shoes. Yay!

Happy Birthday!

I try to wear shoes (and clothes) until they start falling apart (and then I wear them some more). People always get offended by tears and holes, as if I wear clothes for other people. Hope you get a nice pair with that leftover money. May the shoes last forever.

Recently I came to have taste for melancholic movies. I think it started with Don't look up, after which I felt sad about state of the world, but also somehow happy, that other people see things the same bleak way as me. Then I finally saw Melancholia (obviously). And today also Perfect sense. That movie was weirdly the most beautiful, touching and terrifying one I have seen in a while. I was also thinking, how much meat there was shown in the movie and if I am therefore supporting animal suffering just by recommending it. Luckily I at least didn't pay for the movie... Also now always when I see horse riding in movie/TV show or maybe some dog having big role, I feel weird about it, cause those animals have to dance just for our amusement without a choice.
