and do you want to? Do you care? Are there other anarchy forums you use? Why is raddle so small? Is it ziq? Is it libs and tankies getting butthurt over their lack of understanding?

I'm thinking about making a reddit account to shit talk pretenders. Already been banned from chapo chat and 4chan. Might be fun to add another website to the list. Seems like the more active a site, the diluted the conversation.

raddle isn't as active as it used to be. or is it just me?

I think Raddle isn't much more or less active than it used to be-- there have been times of more or less activity, but they usually fade. Maybe a little less though.

People might not like that it is smaller-- they gravitate toward places with more activity, Reddit for instance. There also isn't a lot of drama and active debate here, compared to other places, since people tend to have relatively similar views, and those who lean more towards milder forms of anarchy and quasi-anarchy can more easily go over there.

There also is a difference between the userbase and the influence. I am sure there are many more people who lurk here without having an account, and who are interested but don't have much to say. That was how I was at first, and how many might say. Maybe we can keep these people in mind in the future while posting.

I am fine with having a relatively small userbase, as I like being able to know a bit about the personalities of other people here, at least in the rudimentary fashion that digital communication makes possible.

We want growth but we want quality growth... When Chapo community migrated we saw why quantity don't mean much.

Well the site have it's ups and downs but like moon said it's pretty constant on the flux of people\thread. What I perceived was a change in dynamics as some deleted users were more focused on discussion around certain themes. Now I feel there's a focus on working on collabs

I didn't even know it was possible to get banned from 4chan (outside of posting illegal stuff)

Usually when new users get things wrong they get corrected/questioned and if they don't accept the correction they get dogpiled on. When there are only regular users we mostly agree on stuff so there's little conversation to have about stuff we agree on.

Going by upvote numbers it seems pretty constant over this year.

I made a game out of calling out -isms, and on 4chan the game never ends. I love talking shit. I love verbal battles. I love forming clever take-downs and making people seethe with indignation by pointing out their ideological inconsistencies. Cognitive dissonance is a wonder to behold.

I mostly hung out on the Pokémon and anime boards (seemingly less problematic topics of discussion) and when bigotry reared its ugly head, I responded in kind. What the fuck does trans hate have to do with video game PvP balance discussion? So, I made some noise. The folks up top noticed. Multiple times, I was banned for being "off topic" despite the fact that the racism and transphobia had nothing to do with the topics at hand. Obviously, the people in charge like the hate. Why else would they mod the asshole of the internet? While I miss posting nonsense and basking in juvenile humor, wading into the muck eventually became too much. There used to be people backing me up when I spoke up. Guess they all left (or died), and I figured it was a lost cause to keep fighting an enemy on their own turf. I eventually realized that Pokémon and anime are inherently part of the -isms. Almost all anime is misogynistic and racist at its core. Ditto for Pokémon (couldn't help myself there). Like, why am I spending so much time trying to sway discussion about a series predicated on capturing and subjugating animals for magical cockfighting? What a fool I was to think a single voice could push back against a horde of hate zombies. If anything, spending so much time amongst the posting dead put me in danger of becoming one. I feel sick thinking about what I witnessed. The worst of humanity on display, and there I was, throwing popcorn at Hitler's face.

chapo chat banned me in less than 5 minutes for complaining about transphobia and American football. A personal record. They spammed me pictures of pig balls covered in poop, so I never bothered to go back. Embarrassing for everyone involved.

I'm so happy I found raddle. It isn't much, but having a healthy outlet for my posting compulsion means the world to me. Feels good to know I'm not alone in thinking a lot of what happens on this planet is all kinds of fucked up and gross. Anarchists are alright.

Going by upvote numbers it seems pretty constant over this year.

Fair. People come and go, but there's a small and consistent userbase to hold the place together. Dare I say, raddle feels like a ...

“i love being hostile and aggressive towards other people… wait… where are you going? why are there no users here? why does nobody stick around?”

a true conundrum

;_; I know I'm so cringe

I'm trying to not be an online bully anymore. Spewing constant vitriol doesn't engender happy cozy friendly feelings, "justified" or not. I'm learning to walk away.

I got my front page settings set to all and new, and I find that there is plenty of activity for my sake. It's not like reddit and that is fine. Let people come and go as they come and go.

I'm thinking about making a reddit account to shit talk pretenders.

I've been doing some of this as well, although for anarcho-trolling I just use my current main. But I'll warn you that engagements on reddit can get quite repetitive, so find creative ways to break the pattern.

i dont care about raddle user growth. the growth i want to see is it's growth value. the value of raddle is it is the most anarchist site (the wiki is awesome). i want this value to be grow in inspiring other anarchists to set up raddle like copy, decentralize, small is good, band like groups, based on language they speak or longitude latitude, or anything.
