Watched the Jan 6th hearing tonight. Damn. They straight up were like "this was a COUP attempt by Donald Trump." Like, we all knew that but they are saying they have the testimony to prove it. There was new footage from the insurrection to watch. All in all, an interesting watch. I look forward to more testimony. I know a bunch of it is gonna be jerking off the cops but I do really want to see Trump's friends and family throw him under the bus.

Behind the Bastards did a "Behind the Insurrection" podcast series talking about three past attempted takeovers that were closest to what happened Jan 6th. I really think the closest analogy was the Beer Hall Putsch. When I told my husband about it, he went to wikipedia and then was like "oh shit."

Everything is awful. How do y’all stay motivated cause I am losing hope.

I actually find it surprisingly easy to remain motivated. Maybe I'm just blessed, I don't know. Sure, achieving the end goal is probably hopelessly idealistic, or at least a big long shot, but when I take a step back and look at all the progress I've made, remember to see the forest for the trees - it's really quite impressive. Every little piece of the world I raze really adds up in the quest to destroy the universe.

One step at time Draco. I have good days and bad days, humor helps a lot.

Losing hope is not bad in a sense, can be very liberating

I'm always motivated but I don't always have energy - maybe that's a bit similar to you? In those times it's mushrooms and just waiting it out.

I find a good place, converse with the wind and the water and earth, and try to spread the goodness of those places in every way I can.

Also, reading, (probably re-reading,) and understanding Fukuoka's writing, such as the One Straw Revolution, has shaped me very much, and I believe has helped me to be, as Fukuoka would call it, more a happy fool than a clever one. Its non-ideas are very liberating to learn and live with.

Played a few video games this week. Really enjoyed "turnip boy commits tax evasion" and "voidigo". Played "Gris" because I heard a lot of hype. It was boring I didnt play for long.

My kids going to try soccer soon she is really excited.
