Drugs and ranting to myself about how great I am. Tho having the ego the size of a blimp also helps a lot. This is actual advice btw. Anarchism is way easier if you thinking incredibly highly of yourself.

I do not think highly of myself at all.

:(

I could give some pointers if you want to change. Otherwise hope things go better for you.

anarcho_thembo OP wrote

I mean there's nothing to change. My grandmother died.

I can't really do anything about that.

Oh.

Do you have a chat thing on matrix or reddit or something? I'm not super comfortable talking about shit like this in the open.

What cheers you up when everything is too much?

  • Small doses of psilocybin before bed
  • One Piece
  • A nice hangout with a loved one

I keep trying to source shrooms but everyone I know is strictly weed and no one knows anyone with shrooms. :(

I watched One Piece for the longest time. I wonder why I stopped? I got through a few years worth of episodes even lol.

subrosa wrote

Really depends on your situation, but shrooms are fairly easy to grow. Provided you can get spore syringes. Got a pretty good success rate, even in my dirty ass kitchen.

Probably not helpful here, but for easy access to weed I'd give up on shrooms forever.

Maybe once my student loans drop I'll look into growing my own. I've got a nice dirty kitchen too.

Sometimes people stop! But we can always begin again :D

Fun fact: One Piece has been on the air for as long as I've been an adult.

I remember watching fan-subs as a teenager... but there's a five year gap between Japanese and English versions.

... I guess you just get older in Japan, or younger in English Countries.

I am practically ancient.

4

Tequila_Wolf wrote

oh lol, I wasn't saying you'd lived long, I was wishing that you (and One Piece) long live

I will die on the same day as the final One Piece episode airs. Our destinies are intertwined beyond recognition. I am Luffy and Luffy is me.

Well, then we are the same person.

Change your scenery. Take a walk out in nature, or if that's not an option, drive to another town or something. If you're stuck at home ...

cartoons! I don't know what you're into so I can't recommend anything. Try watching Wolfwalkers? It's cute.

anarcho_thembo OP wrote

Wolfwalkers looks good. I will give that a watch.

I try to keep my media ... soft. If that makes any sense. I don't vibe with things that are very emotionally tense unless I'm in the mood for it. My current favs are the new care bears cartoon and I just finished rewatching Cardcaptor Sakura.

Play a Kirby game :D They're easy to emulate on a phone.

I too am a member of the Big Sleep cartel. Unfortunately I took my prescription speed this morning so I can't sleep for another 4 hours or so when it wears off.

Thank you for reminding me that the dodo exists. I'm a sucker for animal friends videos.

Weird, I sleep better with my amphetamines, have you tried napping immediately after taking it? I feel that there's a period when it wears off that's hard to sleep, but if it's still in my system I sleep well.

4

anarcho_thembo OP wrote

It depends on how far into it I am.

If I can take one and then immediately go down for a nap I sleep great! If it's been buzzing through my system for a while I'm up, unless I'm suuuuuuuuuper depressed. Then I'll sleep though everything.

I think it's time to use f/aww again! Hope you'll get better <3 What personally usually cheers me up is folkpunk music. Recently I really like Wingnut Dishwasher's union and pigeon pit.

Pat the Bunny is bae.

I'm glad we have the music he made while he could.

Seconding on the think highly of yourself advice. I started psychotherapy a year ago and it helps big time, in addition to that working out (in a fun fashion) and searching for people to rant with did the trick for me. Feeling great, loads of energy. Anarchism is possible with the right mindset, getting to know yourself and the culture surrounding you and some people to organize with.

Also, here is a nice video: https://youtu.be/F5FEj9U-CJM
