Here's my deal - I'm getting a new phone, and I want to make sure that they enable OEM unlocking so that I can install GrapheneOS on it. Basically my intent is to tell them that I'm an android developer, and that I need to have it unlocked so I can test my applications.

My question to any employees is this: Is the "threat" of taking the sale of the phone away from them and buying an unlocked phone directly from Google going to carry any weight? Do they care?

I would think they would care about a $600 sale, but maybe I'm wrong.
