I let the daddy long legs spiders roam around my house. They don't like me touching them much, but it is quite fun so I have trouble resisting. They are harmless and I like to just hold them in my hand and let them run around.

Not sure what they eat. Probably just small flies and maybe ants.

Every home should have a huntsman.

Non-dangerous and will hunt and eat other spiders and insects.

Name checks out. ;-)

Like most spiders,[6] Sparassidae use venom to immobilize prey. They have been known to inflict serious defensive bites on humans.[7]

There have been reports of members of various genera such as Palystes,[8] Neosparassus (formerly called Olios) and several others, inflicting severe bites. The effects vary, including local swelling and pain, nausea, headache, vomiting, irregular pulse rate, and heart palpitations, indicating some systemic neurological toxin effects, especially when the bites were severe or repeated. However, the formal study of spider bites is fraught with complications, including unpredictable infections, dry bites, shock, nocebo effects, and even bite misdiagnosis by medical professionals and specimen misidentification by the general public.

Yeah, probably depends on region. Almost always have a huntsman in ones house where I live.
One can normally pick them up if they move slowly and are non-threatening.
But also...

Eh! Just leave them alone to their business and you're sure to never have any nasty bite.

I lived a peaceful coexistence with the spiders in my garage/living area. They had webs in the corners of the garage and they'd get the insects that flew in whenever I had to open the door. They're gone now, so I have to get rid of the flies here myself whenever they start swarming.

Killing them individually takes too long, so I just use the handvac to catch them and empty it outside.

That's pretty neat!

I personally like to keep spiders in my house if I see them anywhere except for the bed I sleep on. I live in an ecosystem where it's warm and humid year round, all the time, so it's a perfect breeding ground for some gnarly bugs. Spiders are really helpful as far as taking care of the other guests that will fuck my shit up way more. I've even thought about making a little feast for the spiders, full of spider foods, but I don't really know what they like. I just think it'd be nice

Right! I had a moth party once as well, we just laid out a bunch of old fruit other things on a table outside at night and dressed up as moths, it was pretty neat

Christ, quit it... A mosquito can be more dangerous than this.

Spideys are your friends.

From same wiki page:

They are not aggressive, and there are no known cases of human envenomation. This species does not have medically significant bites, and will not kill a person unless an allergic reaction occurs

why are you so consistently obnoxious?

There's nothing obnoxious in pointing out how this spider ain't dangerous to humans, so that there's no reason to be afraid like this.

Edit: I keep getting downvoted for no reason. This is obnoxious conduct. So for starters, no matter how obnoxious I am, I surely can't be nicer if people keep being demeaning at my direction.
