Yeah, I've been keeping a pulse on the whole discourse. The whole "think of the children" is bland, and boring, and old. I get more miffed by the respectability politics angle. Like, no Derek, most homophobes won't change their ways if they see us walking down a street in 3 piece suits rather than a Speedo or in a pup hood.

What do people mean when they say discourse?

When folks say "discourse", I see it as a generalized term for all the popular/controversial conversations surrounding a topic.

So, for example, the current pride discourse is on whether kink should be allowed at pride, which relates to whether kids being exposed to implicit/explicit sexual content, consent around seeing sexualized things in public places, the pink washing a commodification of queer liberation, the evolution of pride and how transgressive it should be, and ultimately, what pride is and should be.

Nothing like a little no kink at pride discourse to kick off a long break from these dipshits.

What happened?

A bunch of people who think the best way to prevent sex-related problems is to hide every reference to sex. You'd think liberals would be more interested in "discussion".

I think the libs need to see a few more cocks in tight spandex.

that’s not even homophobic, it’s just repressed people who are scared of sex and naked bodies
