I've been exploring Raddle and saw the book Desert mentioned a couple times, so I read it yesterday.

I liked it a lot. Reading such a realist/cynical take on climate change was refreshing. It might sound weird but it gave me a bit of hope since it focused on survival and not stopping an impending apocalypse.

I'm new to anarchist thought, so some of it probably went over my head. But it was a good read.

Petition to rename this thread Thirsty Thursdays and talk about conserving or sourcing water resources.

I doubt a fungus would want to chomp concrete. But maybe it could naturally secrete substances that deteriorate concrete? Also Portland concrete is allergic to salt water.

Y'all ever zone out and listen to music while playing solitaire for 80 minutes? Just me? Okay.

I got a deadline to meet at work. Not looking forward to working on that project.

I guess that is why they call me a masochist.

anarchists are about a half step up from hippie on my list of people to keep far away from me lol

I mean, what, half of them are just watching americans on youtube. the other half, a huge portion don't even call themselves anarchists.

Fuck the label anarchist. It's become useless, and the whole "antifa" thing in the anglosphere cemented it. I'm annoyed, and stubborn, so I'm sticking around but jfc!!! at least in other countries its a little insulated from the worst of that.

This is a leftist space so it's weird when people take offence about people making a joke about the kind of sex they like. Hell, if it was a convo about peoples BDSM experiences I wouldn't care.

You seem to be making a claim that people who have nontraditional sexual preferences should shut up about it on one of the few spaces it's okay be be openly unto BDSM so you can be spared the awful sight of the letters BDSM.

Also, it seems you have some hangup about how women have sex with a concerning partner which comes off a little misogynistic too.

I'm not like calling you out or anything but I'm struggling to find a reason for your complaint that isn't kinda problematic. But like common, your response to a queer woman saying the name of a sexual fetish is to complain about it being nasty and how she needs to shut up gives off "I'm offended if people don't have conservative values" vibe.
