Genocide is a complicated word. Different institutions have different meanings. Some people consider certain events to be genocide while others disagree or stand aside.
Mass murder is an easier term to define and agree on. And I am pretty sure neither degrowth nor anti-civ requires mass murder.

i just finished making a zine and i guess i'm looking for another short project. i want to make anarchist thought digestible and pretty (with pictures and concise text). if anybody wants to collab on something let me know. i can't promise i'll do it but whatever.

the fact that landlords consider tenancy an investment means that by definition they are earning money on the property. by definition, your rent is greater than the property value. the excess goes to their pocket. the landlord exploits the tenant to leech greater than the property value; the tenant gets nothing in return. the landlord is a parasite.
i think there's a word missing there after 'leech'?

yeah just making them by myself. i'm just seeing it as a way to hopefully make anarchist ideas accessible and feel like i'm contributing something (i know this stuff is very surface level but i'm open to other things). some personal experience, but i wanted the protest zine to be more comprehensive than i could write alone so i looked to tactics used by other protesters to try and consolidate it into one document. i also didn't want to talk at length about street medic experience, since i'm not a street medic and didn't want to give bad advice, so i left some things out.

fair. not an intentional slight, i just wanted a term that was relatively inclusive that wasn't "comrade", since that whole comrade thing weirds me the fuck out. i'll use something gender neutral in the future.

Just moved to the furthestmost northwest state in the u s of a for my partner. Gonna spend all spring and summer foraging to figure out which plants i want to grow. I'm probably gonna invest heavily in spruce.

Yeah it is that. But the vision is quite big in terms of shrinking industry and effect on the environment etc. So I imagine it might still get the same kind of genocide argument as anticiv does, basically.

Folks or (Folx, lol) is a common gender-neutral term used in radical spaces. Friends works too and sounds nice and welcoming to the reader.

I think it's possible to be anti-porn without denigrating the all the people involved in it. In a perfect world we could have ethical porn perhaps, but we obviously don't live in perfect world. It's great that there are sex workers who feel liberated by their work in porn and are able to support themselves, however there are so many negative consequences of freely available porn that I don't think anyone should feel bad for thinking it doesn't belong in a healthy society. It is important to be careful about the way you explain your position on it though, lest you be branded as some sort of regressive, as you said.

Gets me wondering who exactly is being genocided when people say that anti-civ implies genocide.
Anybody got clarity on this?
