The person I was interested in, talking to, and hanging out with told me she is just looking to be friends.
Good thing I took notes last time I was in a similar situation: https://cameronnemo.gitlab.io/posts/platonic-love/

Is dark mode grayer or is it just me?

Just learned about this forum a few weeks ago and like a lot of it's ideas and would like to say hello. You can call me Jacek. Currently "unemployed" and use twitch streaming as my income source and plan to go into IT. I'm 19 and still young and wouldn't mind some life tips. We can all learn from our mistakes.

I'm in a relationship now, I guess. This is my second time dating someone, hopefully this time I'll have any idea what I'm doing. It seems to be going well so far though

This was just one of my friends who I had known before covid times, but we had always had chemistry of some sort, we even tried dating once before during covid but that didn't work out. We're in each other's bubbles of people who we hang out with too, so it's not too bad in breaking social distancing.

Paranoid about covid after a coworker my age with no comorbidities or health problems developed Long Covid and needs a PCA because she's practically bedbound. Been that way for months. Things are getting worse but everyone seems to be so laissez faire about traveling and visiting during the holidays. It's really depressing.

Currently using an overclocked Raspberry Pi 4 as a desktop pc. It's actually more responsive than I though it would be. Only complaints are:
- You're basically stuck to Raspberry Pi OS, because it's the fastest implementation of Linux for this hardware (at least from my testing with Ubuntu and Kali)
- The Tor Browser isn't made for the ARM platform outside of Android, so I had to modify Firefox manually.
- Browser based video playback, even with h264ify for youtube, isn't great (it's passable, at least)
Overall, though, I'm satisfied with it. I can code, watch videos, check my email, and visit Raddle via Tor

That's sort of what I'm doing, honestly. I moved my Ryzen based desktop into my living room to use for entertainment, so I won't be too distracted when I need to focus on something

yesterday i woke up in the middle of the night (2:45) and immediately thought of a scene from a movie i watched recently - save yourselves!. it's a sci-fi comedy about an alien invasion and a hipster couple who miss it, because they decide to spent a week in a remote cabin without their phones, to de-tech-toxify
possible spoiler ahead
so in the movie there is a scene where a character wakes up from a dream & screams at something, but there's nothing there - it's actually quite funny anyways, this happens again, but this time there's - of course - an alien on the ceiling above them, which they fail to notice, so they just go back to sleep
to come full circle - i felt a little spooked after waking up and i might have checked the ceiling. twice.

I want to move somewhere the sun never shines. Sleep until I disappear. Stuck in that transitionary phase on either side of which dreams are forgotten, and memories made.
