i work at a desk all week and going outside on a short hike on the weekends is very relaxing and grounding, you should do it!

I get to take the SAT tomorrow. I hate it but I guess it's good if I want to get into college

Anyone else hoping, selfishly, that something terrible happens related to the U.S. election?

I'm so sick of the status quo draining away my life, and the life of those I love, that I've been secretly hoping for a "It Could Happen Here" scenario.

Is it a fucked up hope? Probably, but I just can't stand the idea of everyone collectively moving on as if the world isn't on the precipice of total disaster.

Yeah I kinda get that. I've moved onto hoping that people see that shit doesn't change when Biden is elected, but I kinda doubt that will happen. The status quo is always going to prevail in this day and age

Half the population of the U.S. isn't going to see the lack of real change. Instead, they'll see everything as an exaggerated step towards "those darn Commies."

A few protest groups in the u.s.a have declared that no matter who is president protests against state violence will continue and it makes me hopeful

Yeah, that's probably a good move. I would avoid taking it except that some of the colleges I want to go to are still requiring it, even after every exam for the past 8 months was cancelled. It's really not great to say that the SAT is a measure of intelligence though. You can't figure out how smart someone is by asking them to answer ~150 questions in 3 hours. Even if standardized tests were a good way to measure intelligence, a sample size of one is really small.

And so the post election violence begins. If your in the US you may want to take down any political signs you may have, or tell friends and family to do so.

Two blown up mailboxes, attempted arson and a house shot up. All with biden signs in their yard. and that's just the greater metro area near me.
