the person getting confused that they aren't 100% mexican but are instead a mix of indigenous and spanish will never get old.
the other person saying wow I have a lot of indigenous heritage but my family doens't practice the indigenous culture or value it. But then doesn't connect the dots in any way.
I think I'm going to be 100% puerto rican
just chefs kiss
and the dominican republic person I don't feel nearly as comfortable making fun of but still. The confusion that they were african and asian but didn't have any dominican republic blood. Which wouldn't make any sense if she knew basic dominican republic history
on and the latina who is like literally as white as me who is then shocked that she is almost all spanish. And the fucking glare she gave when the perosn joked that she might just classify as a european.
Now to be clear this isn't a representative of the group but god it does explain a lot about many latinxs on twitter.
Tho in fairness two of them actually weren't funny to laugh at. The dominican person and the other person who side eyed the person who wanted to be 100% mexican. I don't wanna make it out that I'm making fun of them, bc they were actually not cringe.

Aww, she reminds me of my mom.
My siblings and I have all called her white at some point, she's a quarter Indian, but you really wouldn't be able to tell.
Another vague hint on where I work thats probably going to make it sound more mafia. Today my boss was actively encouraging me and my coworkers to participate in a reasearch study that our organization is doing that is literally a genetic test like in this video.
There's another trait in most latam people is that at least 20% have a gene called cohanim marker (or something) linked to Jewish communities. This is the influence of early crypto Jews that left many small bits of culture
