Both my parents are dead and i live about 2000 km away from my extended family and i very rarely visit (last time was 2016, and before that 2004, i moved away (as a child) in 1994). I barely speak the language, so I'm not in touch with anyone really... I'm there now.
I just learned that a cousin of mine did very inappropriate things to a child (not penetrative rape, but still rape). He didn't get any prison time (as he is intellectually disabled) and i don't know him at all. His mother babysat me a few times.
I'm not sure how to process this information so I'm writing it here.
