GNU/Linux SO for beginners.

Greetings, I'm starting to use Linux as an alternative to Windows and I need help in how to choose a good GNU/Linux operating system, which would be a perfect distro for beginners like me. Thanks a lot.

Trisquel is very beginner-friendly and has no proprietary software. You may need a wifi dongle depending on your hardware. It's based on Ubuntu so there is lots of documentation online if you're not into asking questions on peer support forums.
