I have been checking in now und then but this is my first post. I have a question hoping to get insight. I keep my phone and computer completely separate, viewing the phone as compromised by default. I observe very strict opsec on my computer. Never clearnet. Never same sites on computer and phone. On the phone I have Twitter account. I see verts for my phone brand often on Twitter, no surprise. Lately noticed a vert for the operating system I use on computer. Very specific, the distro I use. Why this very suddenly und very specific? Chance or paranoia? Curious if others have ever noticed something similar. Thank you and forgive my English.

A lot of those algorithms that advertise to you have gotten pretty good at building profiles and recognizing patterns. Those services may not recognize you as the same person on both platforms, but they may have built similar profiles for the two separate platforms.

Either way, it's just annoying ad companies doing what they do.

I perhaps became paranoid because of that only one advertisement. I did not understand how one could possibly put the completely separate identities together. I am very careful regarding that. Thank you!
