This looks fun! I'll try to make it to the next one.

You may want to add OpenRA to the list of games; it's pretty fun.

I'll add OpenRA, then!
EDIT: Turns out OpenRA requires some non-free art, so we can't add it to the list. :(

Ah, is that why it had to download some of the graphics from a server, instead of bundling it with the game? That's unfortunate. I'm not as concerned about non-free artwork as I am about non-free code, but I can understand not adding it to the list because of that.

Are you the same jadedctrl that worked on libertyBSD? You should post that too! I was looking for a FOSS BSD distribution, but I couldn't find one. I appreciate your work!

Looks like freenode blocks connections from Tor exit nodes. Is there some other way that I can connect to the chat room anonymously?

They have instructions on connecting with Tor here-- there's a Tor hidden service and some special instructions to connect.
See you there, mate! :)

Aw, I saw this too late. Thanks for the link - I'll try setting it up. I'll try to make it next week!

Hm, I ran into another problem. According to this, I have to have an existing nickname on freenode before I can set up SASL authentication for Tor, and to create that nickname, I would have to access freenode by "other means." I suppose I could set up another instance of my IRC client outside of Whonix, and configure it to use a VPN, then only use that once to create a nickname on freenode's NickServ, but that sounds like a lot of work. I might try it if I have a lot of free time later.

I mean, I could set up an IRC nickname for you, if that'd be easier. PM if you're interested =w=
