privacytools.io has a list of VPNs located outside of the US (although I am still be wary of ones operating in 5, 9, and 14 eyes surveillance countries). That one privacy site also has a detailed comparison of a LOT of VPNs.

/u/Random_Revolutionary is right though, that PIA donates to free software, so I think they're worth supporting if it fits your threat model.

Oops :P I personally use ProtonVPN right now but I think I'm going to be switching to Trust.Zone soon.

Cool, thanks! I use PIA, so I am curious to see what others use and compare cost / value etc. It does seem to be a huge down side that it's located in the U.S.
