LG smart TVs don't have a kodi app, just Plex and emby. Only Android TVs have kodi.

You could use a beaglebone and attach it to your TV. I guess that's the most FOSS solution I can think of for that.

Kodi doesn't support remote streaming. You can access a plex library anywhere in the world.
