I'm installing dragonfire right now thanks to synaptic package manager, initially I found the same dependency hell as you and the fix command wasn't cooperating so I went to synaptic and click the option to fix dependencies. Best package manager ever.

I'll leave installing over night and check it in the morning.

Never tried synaptic before. If I can get it to work, then I'll review DragonFire the week after next.
