Athletes who train with primarily resistance bands?

Bands are great tools for accessory work and rehab but they are not the most optimal form of resistance for long term progress, especially on compound movements. However, making decent progress with them should be possible and I am wondering if anyone has actually done this.

Are there any athletes who have made it to at least intermediate levels of strength or put on some decent muscle using primarily resistance bands?
