The reason why chrome dominates the browser market it because it's the thing that comes pre-installed on all android devices, the ~1 billion of them.
Even if firefox is the most popular desktop browser, it'll still only have a fraction of chrome's users because firefox OS flopped so hard.

That's a big factor, for sure, but we can't ignore how much desktop usage influences people's choice on mobile. And not all Android phones/devices come with Android-- out of the ones I've gotten, only 1/6 came pre-installed with Chrome. The rest came with ASOP browser or some bloated garbage. A large amount of people conciously have to choose Chrome over anything else.

Almost everyone at my workplace has a similar type of Samsung phone with Android, and all of them use Chrome and nothing else. Some people have Firefox installed alongside it because some banking websites only load properly in FF, but that's on a desktop, not on the phone.
I only had a reason to use Chrome/Chromium when Adobe Flash Player was still required for some websites.
P.S: it's hard to find someone running W10 here. Most people still prefer Windows 7, and that's what I have to use at work.

IMO, it's mobile Chrome that sucks.
Mainly because I love the extensions and customization that FF has, like ad-blocker, etc.

I've always heard that people barely use(d) Firefox, but where I live I know so many people that use Firefox... I'd say it's probably 50/50 between Firefox and Chrome. Not sure about mobile devices, but definitely on Computers
