Minus the erasure of Tridentine Mass, Bishops’ conferences working on the liturgy discussing whether new liturgical ministries are needed and who may be called to perform liturgy separated from the work of administration is pretty much Postmodernism entering the Church which is a positive idea. However, I would like to also argue the return of different Western rites to the Novus Ordo and other Christian liturgical vestments from the East. The treatment to Tridentine rite mass is kinda harsh. In my opinion, we should revive mass as different rites depending on the local culture, Tridentine being one of them. They should be celebrated according to the celebrant's and congregation's preference. I made a few liturgical updates of my own in regards to what it should be in a list:

  • The use of Baroque and Classical era music in Church and the return of whole mass pieces.
  • The use of Vestments, Vessels, and Ornaments from Eastern and Western Orthodox rites and incorporating them into the ordinary rites -Allowing all rites(including Novus Ordo and Tridentine) under one creed to be celebrated in our universal Church. -Canonizing New Rites for Indigenous places and Missions -The return of the old order of initiation(Baptism, Confirmation, First Communion)
  • Active and sensational participation in the Liturgy
  • More emphasis on secrecy and a local culture's ceremonies in the liturgy to Heighten the sense of mystery.
  • Designing churches like local traditional households than European-centric era designs(Baroque, Neoclassical)
  • Wider use of Technology in the Liturgy(Audio recordings or mixers used with choirs, Tablets replacing book missals, recording of Masses, &c.)
  • Mix of Languages rather than specified masses per vernacular(English-Visayan-Latin all in one mass)
  • Ad Orientem or Versus Populum should depend on the officiant, not the missal.
  • The allowance for Blesseds and Venerables to have local veneration within the liturgy
  • Abolition of Arancel systems and replacement and return of Clerical land to provide for clergy. -Episcopal Horizontalism and Presbyterian Mission Praxis.
  • Synodal candidate election of Archbishops with ratification by the Pope than mere appointment
  • Deacons, who prefer permanency, must be allowed to have regular jobs and negotiate the scheduling of officiated masses.
  • Canonical investigation on existing orders (retroactive "Authenticum charismatis")
  • An Internal Inquisition rooting out pedophile priests and heretical orders (abuse of office as crime against holy spirit)
  • Return of optional Catechism classes in the Church

Other traditions and new practices I pray may be integrated into Western Catholic liturgy is commixture. In the [Western] Mozarabic rite, the host is divided 9 ways according to the life of Christ, as opposed to the contemporary Novus ordo where it is split only 3 ways. Comixture was the part in the eucharistic prayer where the host and wine are mixed for it to be received by the laity. This practice only exists in the Eastern rites nowadays. The Latin rites are not someone's aesthetic, it isn't an excuse to break from the obedient instruction of the Vicar of Christ. This is why I consider myself a postmodern Catholic, all valid rites are valid, Christ substantiates wherever Peter open's the Pearly gates for. Inspired by the testimony of the lives of Sts Cyril and Methodius, the Latin and Byzantine Rites really did them dirty, I argue that people should go to whichever Rite they please in any Catholic Church as long as it is valid.
