Feigning being apolitical is inherently political. Marvel knows that. But I'm certain anyone who was gonna buy any of their stuff is gonna buy it anyway.

Hits home a bit cuz I'm boycotting Dave Chappell for the first time with his new comedy special.

Which I find odd, because what made marvel interesting was how political their comics were.

So true. It reminds me about how my cousin who is obsessed with the old Xmen cartoon explained to me, "Jubilee's relationship with her parents and sentinels is a metaphor for being gay and the church." And kid me had the pikachu face.

I'm not the biggest fan of Captain America, but I really feel for the people who are; he's not written consistently at all: he's got a long history and has established character traits, but that all goes out the window pretty quickly whenever someone wants to use him as a mouthpiece or strawman; he was a Nazi in all but name in that godawful Secret Empire arc. From a purely artistic standpoint, this is just bad.
