Still not sure how MTC survived

My theory is that the overarching goal was to slow the rate at which people slightly to the left of the Democratic Party further radicalized:

  1. The main goal of the bans was to eliminate CTH, a 100K+ and growing sub that could take people who were kind of cool with Bernie and quickly radicalize them;
  2. Banning the corpse of T_D, which hadn't been active for over a month, had no purpose besides narrative control;
  3. They threw in bans of some more egregiously shitty subs primarily as housekeeping, but outside of T_D and CTH none of those other subs were all that mainstream so no one really cared; and
  4. MTC was left standing because the "tankie" brand of leftism does more to stop radicalization than it does to facilitate it due to horseshoe theory propaganda.

The youngest three generations in this country have grown up on full-blown anti-communism. If you've had "communists killed 7,782 kabillion" beat into your head from before you could read and never really challenged, MTC can come on way too strong even if you've wrapped your head around the necessity of Medicare for All. So that's what they left, and they cut out everything between the two.

Also explains why they never banned r/FULLCOMMUNISM even tho it's been quarantined a lot longer than chapo.
