Do you have an introductory tl:dr you can give us?
It addresses literature, poetry, criticism, language, etc. the intro by Lisa Samuels is worth a read itself.
The link that was posted of the first chapter should give you an idea of whether it would interest you or not. It’s called The Myth and is only a few pages but packs quite an antisocial punch.
What really strikes me is how current so much of her writing feels. Some pieces wouldn’t seem to be out of place (time) if you posted on anews today.
Cool, thank you.
Sounds like something the ni.hil.ist reading group would be into
i came across the intro and maybe the first 28 pages yesterday somewhere that some reading group posted online. ill try and find it
EDIT: heres the introduction and heres the first chapter (which is a bit better scanned)
Black Spartacus, a new biography of Toussaint Louverture (leader of the Haitian Revolution) that's been getting praise.
very good book so far
How Holocausts Happen.
Decent book that goes into the Holocaust and its causes, and then draws parallels to the US actions in central america. About halfway through right now.
After this i have People's History of the Vietnam War.
I've started to read the Maus visual novel now.
Crockett's Victory Garden. It's a book version of an old PBS series.
I'm going to have more garden space this year, And I'll be planting more intensively then I have before.
"A new kind of science" by Stephen Wolfram
The Thief's Journal by Jean Genet
How's this going?
just got into it, but so far a somewhat autobiographical account of Genet's time spent in '30s Barcelona, and their (almost holy) embrace of whats considered a taboo and rough way of life. an introspective and poetic writer.
Faust by Goethe.
I can highly recommend it.
treatise on etiquette for the younger generations and against his-story against leviathan
My new modem's manual.
Blood in my eye by George Jackson
I just finished the first volume of an english translation of water margin as well.
ruin wrote
Anarchism Is Not Enough by Laura Riding.
Really enjoying it and not at all what I expected. Would highly recommend to anyone into nihilism, individualism, egoism, Stirner, Nietzsche, etc.
