I want to make it clear that I HAVE NEVER shoplifted before and if I go trough with this, it will be my first time. My general idea is to go to a store, I’m guessing target or Wal-Mart but most likely Wal-Mart since I’ve heard people say target is on the higher risk. I’d grab electronics I want casually, then make my way to the appliances section. I’d find a microwave or some appliance with a big box and take it to a blind spot, then quickly, open the box, as if I’m reading the instruction manual, but place my electronics in the box. Then I’d close the box again, and store it somewhere in the store where most likely no one will find it. On the next day, someone I know will go to the store, find the appliance, buy it, and bring it back with all of the electronics that were inside. Then, you wait a few days and return the appliance. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF THIS WOULD WORK AND WHAT I NEED TO CHANGE OR WORK ON. ANY TIPS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Sounds like you'll get caught tbh. This isn't a great plan, as you need to spend too much time in the store, especially after going to electronics. Trying to take so much so early on without any experience is how newbies get caught. Start small, maybe some clothes or candy bars and work your way up.

Thank you, I was also considering just lifting by using a fitting room for my first few times because I should be able to get a few decent shirts off of that. What would be your recommended fitting room technique?

You could wear them under your clothes and walk out. Make sure the aren't visible at all, all tags are removed, and you basically GTFO as soon as you can

sounds ok in theory, but if LP catch on I reckon they'd either leave the staged item (i.e microwave box w electronics) as a trap, or get staff to put the shit back. consider that your accomplice could get in trouble bc they didnt pay for the stuff inside the box? also how would you keep the existing appliance inside the box while also getting other stuff in - seems feasible with a microwave door but youd have to go thru all the steps of taking it out & putting everything else in.

i'd recommend starting out small. electronics is high shrink and LP will generally watch that area like a hawk. also if items are spider tagged then u need special equipment to get those off :o

Well, let’s say the electronics are small like some headphones or something. And will LP catch on if I grab a cart and literally start shopping around the electronics? Then I take it to the appliance section, find the blind spot, Carry on. I got a gag gift for Christmas once which was a blender, and when I opened it there was a lot of empty space so I’m sure I wouldn’t have to do much opening and taking things out. Of course, I can always scout out which appliance a few days before or have someone else do it. Would these changes be better? Smaller electronics, knowing what appliance to use, and how would you recommend getting electronics without alerting LP?

This was exactly my method when I first started. I did it about three or four times. On the last time, I was all set to check out when a relative called me to assist him in his broken down car. I left everything in the store and walked out empty handed, local police was waiting for me. Searched me and had to let me go due to not having any merchandise. I don't recommend this at all. Not worth the risk.
