Theft & theft-related topics*

I understand that theft is a part of illegalism, but it is BY FAR not the only part of it, nor is it the "most important". Every few months I come back here just to check if this has changed, hoping for interesting discussions about literally anything other than theft and keep being disappointed.

Has this been brought up & talked about here before? I dont use raddle that much so maybe I just keep coming back here at the wrong times and missing out on the waves of non-theft-focused submissions?

I have a non-theft illegalism post I wanted to make (about crossing borders without papers) but question whether itd be better for me to figure out a different forum for that.

It's focused on it bc most of the userbase is interested in shoplifting.

The only problem is that we are on the clear net, making many topics out of the discussion

but /f/theft is right there x_x

The clearnet issue is understandable but im skeptical thats actually why people dont post other things. People already go in detail here about things that are "felony-level" or whatever (like cumulatively stealing thousands of dollars of shit over time). So seems disingenuous to say thats what is keeping people from talking about other similarly (or even less so) illegal things (e.g. trespassing or vandalism).

I guess based on your comment and the other one here it seems like this is the defacto backup /r/shoplifting and everyone (mods + users) is chill with that.

So I guess my next question is why not just call it /f/shoplifting?

Edit:

Also idk if it makes a difference but personally I only use raddle over Tor lol. Site itself is still clearnet (or a mirror of it via onion url) but its not like people dont have options to anonymize/obfuscate their end of the connection.

In 2019 Reddit banned r/shoplifting and a lot of refugees (me included) found this forum.

Because for some reason the mods decided to merge all illegal type forums to this. There was a dedicated shoplifting one but noooo.
