I've been doing a lot of research on retail theft and the idea of a walkout is new to me.

From what I understand if you walk in and throw a bunch of merch in a trash bag then walk out and never hit that store again you should be okay.

Is it really that easy? Would any of you advise something like a change of clothes once you're far enough away if going by public transit?

My biggest worry is needing to do a run from cops or them going after CCTV trail footage but from what I've seen online store owners often just try to identify the individual by the footage they have in store already (or if their license plate was picked up by parking lot cameras) but that's my paranoia talking.

Do your research on facial recognition software or be lazy and just do this; wear a hat with a wide brim don't look up. Its still corona season so wear a mask over your lips. And if you're paranoid wear some fake glasses with tape wrapped around the part between your eyes. Make it a rather large knot of tape but not ridiculous. To the casual observer its a mickey mouse tape job for a broken set of glasses. It isnt. Just make sure it covers enough so it blocks a cameras view of the space between your eyes. FR software depends on your lips, eyebrows and the space between your eyes to identify you 2021

So just the space between the eyes isn't enough from what I understand?

Thank you for the reply, I didn't even think about AI in the cameras.

You're understanding of the walkout method is somewhat correct...but walking out of the store without getting caught or stopped is not that simple..while picking up the items u will have to ensure that there are no alarm tags, u will have to be careful of overhead cctv cameras so that no one sees you..also you will have to be careful that no other customers or undercover employees around become suspicious of your activities... there may also be some watchful employees lurking around near the exit...

Assuming I hide my face well enough, change my clothes and not carry my personal phone around while targeting stores with a no touch policy I feel like it doesn't matter too much if they can see me if I just leave and know that the cameras will be hot on my ass?

Or am I not getting that right.

I don't want to boost stuff for personal use, I want to reflip things for cash.
