i think HD has cameras which are always monitored, people have mentioned the power tools as a section which is particularly watched. Be careful out there, good luck

Yeah someone made a post a few days ago about those. As he wanted to cut something off of a locked hanger.

But those cameras make no since to me. I mean okay how many people walk through that area every day and look at stuff pick it up examine it and potentially purchase it. I mean yeah if someone cuts something from a locked hanger that will catch them but typically you are going to grab the item and walk elsewhere in the store.

Regardless be careful as HD has been in the news lately regarding shoplifting. Also most stuff worth lifting to resell is going to be source tagged so be careful with just walking out.

i guess they track people by profiling the ones who "look suspicious"...aka institutionalized bigotry, against a variety of groups of people

I've also heard that they use anxiety tics as a way to profile people.

For example, looking for the cameras, looking over one's shoulder, hesitating, brisk walking, i mean anything an anxious person would do while they were stealing.

If you do everything confidently and blend in, you have a better shot 9 times out of 10.
