I feel this daily. I've been unemployed for 3+ years since I quit school and honestly even writing an the CV is hard. I unironically use the word Sabbatical for this time right now because I legitmately for almost the entire point of time rather used my time to read manga, etc. instead of looking for an apprenticeship.

Looking at apprenticeships always makes me feel disgust as well. 9h+ work + the long travel time for rural areas (2h+), then the low pay and the hierarchy... it's so stupid.

you could just make everything on it up. i doubt they actually check into your employment history

in Germany at least it's actually "Urkundenfälschung" which can get you in prison up to 5 years and a few other notable laws against it. The best you can do is lie about your unemployment, like saying instead of having fun every day in your unemployment you just was forced to care for your family "Pflege von Familienangehörigen" (informal caretaker depending on how severe actually getting money from government insurance)

Roughly the same here. Never got into legal trouble, but I've had employers check with previous employers and find out I added a few months here and there to fill the gaps.

i used to work for an employment agency and we'd actively rewrite people's cvs for them to help them get hired. no one ever checked. i guess things are way more organized over there.

Trust you have no idea how the bureaucracy is in Germany sometimes I feel like they have thought have of everything. Some people I know got fined 15 euro because there was a fern growing on the sidewalk before their house.

That's awesome, can also get a way with a bit more out in the country but we even had cops stopping here to complain about how people have parked their cars. Not to mention that we have some cars in the yard which apparently is also somehow illegal.
