And you can't have feminism because then men are alienated from leftism and turn to the right. And you can't have vegans because then people with lettuce allergies feel demonized. And you can't have migrants because then fascists build up anger to seize power. Can't upset that neoliberal apple cart in any way because it could risk destabilizing the system that gives them all their privileges.

Ikr, the "if you can't beat them, join them" mentality is pervasive. And of course, they assume the first part without trying anything at all and then just capitulate.
