An all encompassing way to put it, for me, is re-learning the thousands of years of knowledge that has been lost and not taught in the modern age. This includes many topics of course, botany, hunting, primitive building, etc. I've been learning a lot over the last few years about these topics.

Once I've learned enough, and practiced enough, I hope to permanently shift into a very minimal life in the woods, although I must unfortunately still keep my lifestyle legal and keep at least some contact with modern society. Don't want nuclear war or some shit breaking out and me not knowing

So are you planning on buying a plot of land to live on or are there public grounds that you can reside within? Are there any other expenses you’ll face whilst transitioning? I’m just curious what sort of obstacles you’ll have to overcome in order to practice it legally

I'm not a primitivist but I am anticiv and I did buy a plot of land in the mountains where I grow my food and live on it.

I am planning on buying a plot of land, near and hopefully surrounded by public lands. The main obstacle is affording to do that. It might take me between a couple and a few years to be able to do so.

I don't identify as anprim, but I really appreciate the critique on civilization. Postciv is much more in the flow of the ongoing social collapse.
