I think its the correct way to be vegan unless u are buying specifically vegan sugar. Tho at the moment I still am getting used to transitioning it out of my diet bc I'm used to thinking its vegan. So soon hopefully.

The thing that is throwing me off atm is how much I am willing to trust a company. Like take soda for example. Coca-cola claims the vast majority of their drinks are vegan. But Coca-cola lies about shit all the time and they aren't being compelled to tell the truth on this in anyway and there would likely be very little consequences for them if they are lying.

Well it depends. You country might not be wierd with how it makes sugar. But at least in the US people have an obsession with white things (wonder why) so cane sugar gets bleached with bones to be vegan. Tho if you really wanna dig into production n stuff you can find out if most sugar is vegan or not where u live.

And of course this is where veganism starts to be in the grey area of splitting hairs. Many vegans don't bother but its really up to u.

Well I live in the UK. I might be wrong but I think there are fairly strict laws on correct labelling here so hopefully anything specifically labelled as vegan has actually vegan sugar.

But I agree with asterism’s point that companies aren’t very trustworthy.
