I really think it's about time they increase the amount of iodine in iodized salt. People aren't using as much anyway, I shouldn't need half a teaspoon of salt to get my iodine.

seaweeed (mentioned by existential1), potatoes and pruned all have decent amounts of iodine. some manufactured breads too

Just eat seaweed. Ez peezy. Vegan sushi. Ez Peezy.

I actually make a seafood seitan than uses ground seaweed. It really gives u that seafood feel in afro soups like moqueca.

Yeah exactly that, like u/NOISEBOB said grind a mix of wakame, nori, etc. A lot of vegan seafood dishes work with this.
