1 cup moong dhal soaked in water for a few hours
3 green pounded chillies
2 onions (medium)
1 tsp salt
¼ tsp arad
½ tsp ginger/garlic
½ tsp dhunia/jeero
½ cup oil
Wash moong dhal till all loose skin is removed. Drain off water. Put dhal in pot with raw sliced onions, all the masalas and oil and cook very slowly till dhal is soft and nicely browned. Care must be taken that there is just enough water to cook dhal otherwise dhal will be soggy. Garnish with chopped spring onions.
Ingredients as above.
