Thank god it's getting more coverage, they've only been at it for over a year ...

I know I swear until very recently the only mainstream media I knew of which talked about was the local fox news of Atlanta

That being said I hope that the sudden interest displayed by people and institutions outside of locals and anti authoritarians won't lead to coopting the movement

I think the benefit of added pressure will outweigh the risk of cooption in this situation... Or at least I hope so

Triple-edged sword. The only coverage before was from either activists or fascists. And because activists have been practicing the ol' slow and steady with Atlanta decision-makers, and making some marginal gains, the mainstream news media could potentially and intentionally sabotage this progress in public opinion, if they wanted to.
