classic cointelpro tactics. divide and conquer. attack people using proxies so it appears their view is shared by many. make people afraid to even use the space for fear of posting something this clown considers 'garbage' (by which they clearly mean every article posted by an anarchist)

makes triggered jokes

irritating white fragility

'class is all that matters'

I wish this were a real troll dissection.

I think someone went through and added a few words to the end of their comments trying to be funny. You can tell which ones because they say they were edited an hour later.

i don't know if the idea of shared accounts was wise in the first place. aren't all accounts really anonymous? can't you just make a new account and say shit? this is just another medium for cowards with anger to abuse.

Yea, throwaways can't be stopped, so shared accounts seem more like a way to not let the name of the account have baring on what's being said. I treat each account as a build up of its rep until it breaks the TOS and gets banned, and then that user can try again if they so wish. No big consequence other than loss of rep really. The shared accounts will never be trusted, so rep could never be built up there. They can cry all day that they are legitimate users who feel as though the site it wrecked in some way, but they are painfully obvious when they pretend to be what they see as a "leftist". They just look ridiculous saying "tard" in nearly the same breathe as claims to be an anarchist.

You've straw manned my positions very well. I never said "class is ALL that matters", nor was I making any jokes, simply stating that you get highly upset when anyone disagrees with you. What do you mean by "white fragility"? I'm not interested in dividing and conquering either, you really think anyone gives a shit about raddle? I mean, yeah, a few people do, but my intention wasn't to provoke fear. You're saying I'm using shaming tactics but yet you're doing the same by saying i'm trying to intimidate anyone. Come on! You're way too far up your own ass. Nowhere have i ever tried to intimidate anyone. I find it funny that you think I have some kind of agenda on here. You're not that important nor is anyone else on here.

Edit: I think you people are not understanding what I mean. I'm saying that I'm right, all of you wrong. SO DO AS I SAY! How hard can it be?

Wow, you are obsessed. You're all about race and ignoring social class. Social class is what matters nowadays. There are powerful black people that run things and rule over people too, they've served in office before. Condoleeza Rice, Colin Powell... There are rich, powerful black people (Oprah Winfrey for example). You're so race-obsessed that you think every white person is lording over minorities. That's pretty distorted. Let me ask you a question. Poor white trailer park trash - who do they lord over? Nobody. Why? Because they're at the bottom of the social class.

yes, that's what i said. because i wanted to emphasize that social class has more influence than race seems to based on my observations. you really want me to be a troll so badly, i'm willing to admit i don't know everything and maybe i'm ignorant on somethings. but i wasn't intentionally trying to stir shit with my post, i was just trying to get a point across. you act like i'm some machavellian with grand plans to sow discord on this site, i find it funny. True but funny nonetheless.

I'm gonna engage you honestly for a brief moment.

You go into a thread about settler colonialism and the unfair and ill-gotten advantages settlers have over the indigenous population, and respond with 'You're all about race and ignoring social class. Social class is what matters nowadays'...

What is that?

What is your intention with that statement?

I was talking about how social class has a huge influence on peoples social standing and other's perceptions of them. Ever heard of the Wabenzi? Many of them are both white and black entrepreneurs in South Africa. Despite this, there is still economic apartheid, and most South Africans suffer. I suppose I could've articulated my point better. I wasn't trying to deny the damaging effects of colonialism or deny that race has a large effect on peoples opportunities. I was talking about class in modern day society. I think its relevant to colonialism. I appreciate the civil response.

Note that I never even broached the subject of class, why would I when I'm trying to talk about the privilege of settlers colonialists?

1

retiredshared2 wrote (edited )

class is relevant regardless, when talking about privilege.

ziq wrote

No, it really isn't relevant in a discussion about settler colonialism's affect on indigenous populations. "What about poor white trailer park trash" is not an appropriate fucking response to a discussion about the suffering of indigenous people.

My post wasn't a response to the suffering of indigenous people. Again, I may have went on a bit of a tangent, but obviously I'm not denying their suffering nor did I intend to.

I was just asking, why won't you think of white people?
